Variation of Aloo Paratha

  • You can make aloo paratha with different types.

  • First boil potatoes, mash and combine with spices and salt. This is the stuffing/filling.

  • Second type of paratha is mash boiled potatoes with wheat flour, add spices, coriander leaves and maka a smooth batter. Now pour batter on the hot tawa , spread and roast from both sides till golden brown.

  • Third method is grate raw potatoes and mix with flour,spices and make a dough.


It's up to you what you will love to make!



Ingredients

  • 1½ cup - flour

  • 250 g - raw potato grated

  • 1 tsp - grated ginger

  • 1 tsp - green chilli chopped

  • 1 tbsp - coriander leaves chopped

  • ½ tsp - red chilli powder/flakes

  • ½ tsp - garam masala

  • 1 tsp - salt or to taste

  • 4 tbsp - oil

How to make raw potato paratha


  • First of all, take flour in a vessel, mix raw potato, all the spices and 1/2 teaspoon salt in it and knead a soft dough by adding water little by little.Keep the dough covered for 10-15 minutes.

  • Knead again and make it smooth.

  • Then make a little thick dough out of the dough and spread it slightly by patting it with your hands.

  • Then put about one tsp ghee on the paratha, spread, fold and cover it.

  • Now apply a little dry flour on both sides of the dough and roll it into a round shape.

  • Then apply ghee on both the sides and roast red on medium flame.

  • Serve this paratha hot with coriander chutney and curd, your raw potato paratha is ready.


👉Pro Tips

  • You can also roast the paratha with oil instead of ghee but ghee tastes good.

  • If you do not eat onion then do not put onion in the stuffing of the parantha.
