10minutes Breakfast Recipe
Making pooris using a combination of wheat flour and raw potato. While traditional pooris are typically made using wheat flour and water, adding raw potato could alter the texture and flavor of the pooris. Make sure to finely grate or blend the potato and adjust the dough consistency as needed before frying.
Grating or blending the raw potatoes and incorporating them into the wheat flour dough along with other traditional ingredients. Season the dough appropriately before frying the pooris.

Ingredients:
1½cup - wheat flour
2 nos. - medium sized potato
1"- ginger
5-7 - garlic cloves
2 nos. - green chilli
1 tsp - red chilli flakes
1 tsp - pizza seasoning
1 tsp - salt
2 tsp - oil
1 tbsp - chopped coriander leaves
Oil for frying
Water as needed
Instructions:
In a mixing bowl, combine the grated raw potatoes, whole wheat flour, and a pinch of salt.
Start kneading the mixture, adding water gradually as needed to form a smooth and firm dough. The moisture from the grated potatoes should help in binding the dough. Knead for a few minutes until the dough is well-combined and pliable.
Divide the dough into small lemon-sized balls.
Heat oil in a deep frying pan or kadai over medium heat.
Take one dough ball and flatten it slightly between your palms to form a small disc.
Roll out the disc into a circular shape using a rolling pin. The poori should be around 4-5 inches in diameter.
Gently slide the rolled-out poori into the hot oil. It should puff up within a few seconds.
Use a slotted spoon to press down on the poori gently, causing it to puff up fully. Flip it over and fry until both sides are golden brown.
Remove the fried poori from the oil and place it on a paper towel to drain excess oil.
Repeat the process with the remaining dough balls.
Serve the wheat flour and raw potato pooris hot with your favorite side dish, such as potato masala, chana masala, or a yogurt-based curry.
Enjoy your unique and delicious wheat flour and raw potato pooris!
Suggestion:
Adjust the quantities of ingredients according to the number of pooris you want to make.
The exact consistency of the dough might vary depending on the moisture content of the potatoes.
Make small adjustments as needed.
